Manufactured/Modular Housing 14’0” Wide and Less Permit

Authorises the movement of mobile/modular housing not over 14’ wide from one specific place to another by approved routes. A “round trip” authorises the movement of an oversize vehicle from one specific place to another and return hauling the same load or unladen.

80,000 Lbs (Cannot exceed legal weights, including axle groupings)

Valid For: 5 Permissible Hauling Days

Amendments: If obtained at a regional office, an active trip permit can be amended for the following reasons (A permit can only be amended one time):

¥ Power unit VIN or license plate

¥ Trailer unit license plate

¥ Dates of movement – Can be extended one time up to an additional 5 permissible hauling days.

¥ Permit cannot be revised to an earlier date.

¥ Gross weight

¥ Any dimensions

¥ Axle weights and/or spacings

¥ Routes

¥ Origin or destination – cannot amend both

A trip permit cannot be amended for the following:

¥ To alter the load description, including revising the year, make, model or serial number.

¥ Change permit type.

¥ Motor carrier name and address.

Fees: 

Mail In/CPO Walk In: $40.00

Regional Office: $60.00

Permit Service: $40.00.

Fees do not include any applicable permit service charges.

Amendment Fee: $10.00

16 Foot Manufactured Home Permit

Authorizes the movement of Manufactured or Modular home units, greater than or equal to 14’0” but not greater than 16’0” wide inclusive of eave overhangs, from one specific place to another by approved routes. A “round trip” authorizes the movement of the unit or the unladen trailer to the original point of origin using the original routes.

Limits: 

14’1” to 16’0” Wide

160’0” Long

14’6” High

80,000 Lbs (Cannot exceed legal weights, including axle groupings)

Valid For: 5 Permissible Hauling Days

Amendments: If obtained at a regional office, an active permit can be amended for the following reasons (A permit can only be amended one time):

¥ Power unit VIN or license plate

¥ Trailer unit license plate

Bonding: A surety bond of $10,000.00 per move or $25,000.00 per company must also be on file at the Central Permit Office.
