SIZE AND WEIGHT

New Mexico regulates the size and weight of vehicles which will operate on the streets, roads and highways of the state. The only vehicles that will be permitted to operate are those that conform to legal size and weight limits.

LOADS MUST BE IRREDUCIBLE

An OS/OW permit will not be issued for a reducible, non-liquid load that can be shifted or unloaded to become legal; Load(s) that can be transferred to another trailer or equipment that will make them legal. The disassembling of a load into legal dimensions, then moving the load in multiple trucks/trailers may be required.

ANY PERMIT MAY BE ORDERED ONLINE THROUGH NM-OPS (NM Operating Permit
System-routable network).
