* Super single tires require “New Generation, Wide Base” tires with a minimum tire width of 445 mm. Available by permit only. Super single tires do not apply to the steering axle.

** These weights for tridem axles apply to provincial highways only. The maximum weight for a tridem axle on a municipal road is 17,000 kg. Permits may be available to achieve heavier weights.

Weight Restriction 1: Combined axle weight of lead semi-trailer axle plus weight of converter dolly axle	If Dimension “A” is less than 3 metres, the combined weight is limited to a maximum of 17,000 kg for a two axle group or 23,000 kg for a three axle group.
Weight Restriction 2: Sum of axle weights of full trailer.	The weight of the second trailer must not exceed the weight of the tractor drive axle(s) plus the weight of the axle(s) on the first semitrailer.
