** These weights for tridem axles apply to provincial highways only. The maximum weight for a tridem axle on a municipal road is 17,000 kg. Permits may be available to achieve heavier weights.

Weight Restriction 1:
Combined axle weight of lead semi-trailer axle plus weight of converter dolly axle |
If Dimension “A” is less than 3 metres, the combined weight is limited to a maximum of
17,000 kg for a two axle group or 23,000 kg for a three axle group. |
Weight Restriction 2:
Sum of axle weights of full trailer. |
The weight of the second trailer must not exceed the weight of the tractor drive axle(s) plus the weight of the axle(s) on the first semitrailer. |
